Dairy Action Plan Moves Forward

At National Farmers Convene ‘23 in Bettendorf March 8, the dairy division introduced their plan to level the playing field for America’s family dairy farms. The key word in the new title is action and that’s exactly what dairy staff have been focusing on.

The two-part Dairy Action Plan focuses first on growing milk volume by building partnerships with other dairy cooperatives. The progress has been remarkable.

National Farmers has formed new partnerships with Middlebury Co-op and Pioneer Co-op. More partnerships are sure to follow as word gets around on how effective our win-win approach can be.

In the second part of the action plan, the organization will find ways to add value to the milk National Farmers sells on your behalf. The Dairy Division understands consumers prefer milk produced on family farms like our members operations.

But we also know milk loses its identity as it gets comingled with milk from other types of farms.

Members can expect to hear more on how we are building supply chains that preserve the identity of the milk you work so hard to produce.

Family dairy farmers from coast to coast are having some really tough times lately. Rest assured that National Famers is working overtime to give you the marketing advantage you need to get through these dark days.
